Getting Started

I have decided to start blogging again. I did this once before and it didn’t last very long, so I’m hoping that this time will be better.

It is almost midnight and I am enjoying my cup of tea for the night. I usually drink either raspberry or peach tea with a spot of honey. It is very comforting and helps soothe me to sleep. I love to sit in bed with a good book and read and sip tea until I can’t keep my eyes open any longer. Unfortunately, I finished reading all of the books I own! So my lack-of-book-to-read lead me here.

I’m not quite sure how this whole website/blogging thing works but I hope I can figure it out! I have so much I’d love to chat about with others.

My tea soothing-ness is kicking in now. Sweet dreams, bloggers. πŸ™‚

P.S. I leave you with one of my favorite quotes, and wonderful words to live by.

β€œThe beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It’s the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she shows & the beauty of a woman only grows with passing years.”
― Audrey Hepburn

  1. I cannot believe that someone so young and sweet and tender-hearted can also be an “old soul”. You are a one-of-a-kind (truly a treasure) Ms. Devon Lucille. I am honored to know you.
My father listened to Frank, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, and Sammy Davis, Jr. I thought I was alone in those memories, especially with the younger set. I never did get to dance with my Dad – he passed when I was your age.
Many blessings on your blogging venture – do it often. If for no other reason, it will be a mirror into your soul and something for the history books when you be come the first female President of the United States! We’re going to need someone like you!

    1. Thank you so much for your love and support. I am fortunate to have someone like you to read what I write and appreciate it like you do! I’m hoping through words and action to help my generation (even a little bit). I long for the class and innocence of the earlier years. But, I have faith it is out there and I look forward to finding it. πŸ™‚
