At some point you have to make a decision. Boundaries don’t keep other people out, they fence you in. Life is messy, that’s how we’re made. So you can waste your life drawing lines, or you can live your life crossing them. Here’s what I know: if you’re willing to take the chance, the view from the other side is spectacular. That’s what I did.
I quit my full-time job in September to pursue medicine, a passion of mine that crept up on me slowly until I couldn’t ignore it anymore. I enrolled myself in Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Chemistry (to name a few), and I am currently completing all of my pre-requisities by the end of the summer, so I can apply to get my Master’s degree, as a Physician’s Assistant, in the Fall. I am working a variety of part-time jobs, as a nursing assistant, a babysitter, an office worker, a social media manger, you name it, trying to keep up with school payments, and all the other costs of life. Everything is truly chaotic, and tiring right now. I am happy, because I am doing something I truly love, I jumped out of my comfort zone, but it is hard to keep the ball moving constantly. To be on top of my game, to keep up with the hours, to not drop said hypothetical ball. It gets heavy sometimes!
What do you do to keep up with life? To push through the stress? Let me know in the comments below! It’s nice to be on a life-changing journey with others, and to see how each person handles their own work load. I think if we encourage each other, and hold each other up, we will each be more successful in the long run.
Thinking of you all,
